OK, so I know everyone’s probably getting sick of more cutting boards, but I’ve never posted a project on here, so tough luck. All my family got these boards for Christmas, and I actually finished on time (Dec 24) Size is 1 3/4 X 12 3/4 X 19. Lots of different species from the scrap bin. It was fun, but I really need a drum sander if I’m going to keep doing this.

Great looking boards.

Even with a drum sander it takes a lot of lite passes to cut the end grain. If you are too aggressive you end up with binding and burn spots.

boards look good – my planer works just fine on my end grain boards, just takes time (and a sacrificial board)
