After making some boxes with splines I made this project from a Woodsmith magazine. Some scrape pieces of oak and poplar the splines are mahogany. I would like to do this again in some more expensive wood like walnut, maple and maybe purpleheart or bloodwoud for the splines

I like this a lot. I have some old “In-out” desk paper boxes (about 15 of them) that I’ve had since I was in the Air Force and they were going to throw them out. This idea is great cause I could build a rack system like this and use those boxes finally.

I see you are like me … my desk is my tablesaw. So, does that get in the way? LOL – (I crack me up sometimes). Actually it looks awesome. Nice spline work.
