Quick project for the grandchildren. It’s a little late for Christmas but there are always Birthdays so supply gifts for.
I need to give credit to Darbin Orvar on YouTube for the basic idea.

Started out with some clear glass Christmas tree ornaments that I tinted the inside with some airbrush paint. Worked pretty well, I got the light tint I was looking for.
Ordered some LED battery powered lights. Lights are 6 foot long with a slender battery pack. The battery pack is 1/4” thick so with my mortise I cut pockets in the wood base to slide the pack into. In order to remove the pack from the slot I attached a ribbon to the wood so when I push the pack into the slot the ribbon goes in as well making it easier to remove the pack at a later date.
I had some cedar 3”x 3” I cut to 3 inch lengths for the bases. I cut each one a little differently for the fun of it.

In a darkened room the lights are exceptionally bright. Grandchildren shouldn’t get scared of the dark with one of these.
