This is a pantry that I finished few weeks ago. I worked on this during the big snow we had here in Maryland. I lined the entire closet with 3/4 inch ply and the shelves are also made of 3/4 inch ply with edgebanding. The door unit is made of solid oak. I made the shelves in the door unit removable so my wife to take them to the kitchen to use without having to pull each spice out individually. the drawers down at the bottom were metal baskets. My wife wanted a place to store onions and potatoes. This was the first project I made since joining this site and thought I’d share. Enjoy!

Very practical, and I am certain that your wife loves it. Woodworking at its finest.

Great Idea! I love that they are removable.
Any worries about the contents flying out if you open the door too fast?
