As I was in my pen making mood and to make a wedding present for a niece and her new husband I made a pair of Indonesian Rosewood pens.

She currently lives in Hawaii and I had some mango and -blah- Koa so I didn’t want to use it

This rosewood came from LJ Rosewood via Bibb.

In looking on the web this might also be called East Indian Rosewood or Indian Rosewood.. It has a different color from some Nicaraguan rosewood that I have.

These pieces have some dark purple and a reddish orange streak. The two pen pieces were beside each other in the block so they match grain colors. The wood grain has changed in the distance of the two blanks.

So off to Hawaii they go.

Absolutely beautiful pens – great gift for a great time.
...rosewood, you travel more than I do, from Indonesia to US then to Hawaii…!

super job…i love the richness of that rosewood….well there off to a great vacation spot..well for some..some live there all the time…tough life..i bet you wouldn’t have any snow problems there…think it over…grizzman
