As I was in my pen making mood and to make a wedding present for a niece and her new husband I made a pair of Indonesian Rosewood pens.
She currently lives in Hawaii and I had some mango and -blah- Koa so I didn’t want to use it
In looking on the web this might also be called East Indian Rosewood or Indian Rosewood.. It has a different color from some Nicaraguan rosewood that I have.
These pieces have some dark purple and a reddish orange streak. The two pen pieces were beside each other in the block so they match grain colors. The wood grain has changed in the distance of the two blanks.
So off to Hawaii they go.
