This set of cabinetry I build for a client when I was in tech school- tuition paying project! They wanted me to fabricate cabinets that would sneak in, under the existing laminate top and 2×4 pine claded wall supporting it. It was built out of some pretty rustic and knotty hickory, fairfield maple mel for a carcase (nested on the router), solid maple drawers (CNC dovetailed), and KV 8400 series side mount slides. The face frame was pocket screwed together, dont want to go that route again after remaking a stile three or so times. Everything was top coated with Chemcraft conversion varnish.

You do very good work.
I surprised you had trouble with pocket hole joinery. I’ve used that system for many years with no problems. It might just be the wood you were using. Hickory can be difficult sometimes.

Nice cabinets. I like the style of the pull out garbage can.
