I’m taking a linguistic program through school right now that amounts to about 25 credit hours. Needless to say, I’m pretty fried most days from studying so much, so this was a fun project for me to just relax in the wood shop to the smell of cedar sawdust. I build this in a weekend with some cedar lumber I had sitting just waiting to be used. Also used some cherry to make the legs. Real basic design, but we like it. Also the cool thing for me was keeping the live edge on the wood, which was fun to work with as well. Wish I knew how to take better pictures though.

Great looking table. There is nothing like good old MO ceder. What part of the state are you in?

At first I was thinking that was a couple of spliced-up bubinga boards, but, yeah, cedar is also nice like that, and piles cheaper. Smells nice, too.

Dude, 25 units?!? My first semester of college I took 17 units and worked two jobs to the tune of 35 hours a week. You must be crazy like me…but I only did that for one semester. It also took me 6.5 years to get a 4-year degree…I learned my limits, I can tell you that. Of course, I worked for a living, and got married somewhere in there.
