I was asked by a family friend to make her a recipe card box to hold 4×6 inch cards. She wanted the box as a gift for her mother. Material is Eastern Red Cedar. Bottom held in place with a glued rabbet on all edges. Top is rabbeted on all sides and simply sits atop the box. Ends are jointed with a tongued rabbet. Turned the knob on my 1951 ShopSmith 10ER. Finish is BLO/SatinPoly/Mineral Spirits in a 1:1:1 ratio. Fun project. Merry Christmas everyone.

I like your choice of wood. Looks very well made. I also made a recipe box for my daughter in law. Great gifts for great cooks!

This is a nice practical box and I love the wood.
