Every year I am thankful to Spalm for posting instructions on how to do this. It seems I always need a quick gift either for an exchange or just as to give the host of a party aroud Christmas and New year’s eve.

These are simple drunken boards and I tend to keep a few of the handles around for just such occasions. I built a drill guide that clamps on the board edge a few years ago to help keep everything straight.

These things are crazy popular. I made a dozen for the last show before Thanksgiving and sold out. I had someone who bought a couple call me and ask for more. I made another dozen and took them to her work. She wanted 3 but ended up taking 5 and people at her work bought 3 more. I too made a drilling jig which makes drilling the hole for the mechanism fast and easy like a drunken sorority girl. See how I tied in my description with the board being displayed? ;)

Those look nice. I do the same with the hardware. They are quick and easy to make.

Those are great looking cheese boards—I like the patterns of them, and how they’re inverses of each other!

Good job, and I agree that they are super popular.

They are kind of easy, but require some precision work, and gigs are great at that.

Lookin’ good,
Steve
