This was an exciting project.a lot of learning was done along the way..first I had to flatten and remove the twists from the lumber so I built a very simple planing sled. The top was then assembled using biscuit joinery and breadboard ends..the carcass is held together with pocket hole screws.I bought a new dovetail jig for the drawers forbthis project and it was exciting to use..I had to buy one board for this project also, for the drawer fronts..(i about cried at the price..)the drawer slides are bottom mount and were also made in the shop.trying to get those drawers all lined up was a bit challenging too..finish is one coat of BLO and clear shellac. Thanks for looking…all comments welcomed…Merry Christmas!!!

its a beautiful table, I really love walnut, one thing that is sad to me is all of the pocket screws used to hold it togeather, a nice piece like this really should have had mortise and tenons joinery, but that is my opinion, if you have not learned to use time-tested joinery like mentioned, I think you would really get and have a better feeling about the things you make…give it a try.

The price for that one board sure looks like it was worth it! Those drawers look great.
