Hi All,
As a woodworker, what other way would I express my gratitude for someone who is always there for me other than expressing my thanks in wood.
I recently built this wall clock for my car mechanic and dear friend for no other reason except to say thanks for all you do for my wife and I.
The clock is @ 24” tall and is made from zebrawood, wenge and maple; he tells me that he and his wife like it. Thanks Derek for always being there for me.
All the best
Gord

Well, Gord, we were needing someone around who works in the comtemporary stlyle. Now we not only get great tutorial blogs but very modern inspired pieces to consider. Thank you for sharing.

Great look. I bet he is a happy mechanic :) Was the gift a hint at his ability to stay on time?

I just read your reply regarding what to do with scraps….You posted several interesting clocks on there and I was wondering where you get the movements from ? Your projects are all wonderful both in design and wood selection…thank you for posting them : )

Hi Dusty,
Thanks for your kind words.
I purchase the clock movements from a local clock supply company. Nothing special about the movements, just your run of the mill cheap movements that you can get anywhere.
