Shop Makeover 1- Tool Storage

Here’s the first post of my Garage/Workshop Redo. I’ve built all new workshop cabinets to make my half of our two car garage usable for my projects. This one is for my routers, palm sanders and other handheld power tools as well as whatever else I can think to stuff in it. Closed it is 36” wide x 32” deep x 83”high. The center section is 16” wide and the two outer sections are 10” wide each. I plan to add draw latches on the front to hold it closed when moving it around.

Great use of space leaving you plenty of room for projects and if you have tooooo, I suppose your wife’s car. :-)

Aside from keeping everything nice and organized in one compact area, I like the fact, that all the dust stays off the tools when the cabinet is closed, Very cool design.

Yeah. It has 6 wheels now but I’ll probably add more for ease of movement. Might should’ve went with larger wheels but as you can see in pic the garage door would get in way.
