Made this cabinet to hold hand tools from left overs from other projects.

I have not yet filled the door with tool holders, ill get to that eventually.

The cabinet was designed primarily for hand saws. It’s made mostly of pine, with cherry rails on the door, and padauk for the drawer fronts and part of the handle assembly. Bits of oak and maple make up the other random holders.

Nice work! What keeps the Japanese saws from slipping out? Just the closed door, or is there something else to hold them in place?

The angle and depth of the holder stops them from going backwards. It can’t really go anywhere unless you slam the door or something like that.

I’ll have to make sure not to take out any frustration on this cabinet :)

I may add a little bar or something to make sure they don’t slip even if the cabinet was really shook.

Have your say...
