Here are two cutting boards (TWW) that are made from maple and cherry. The long one is 1 1/4” x 12” x 18” and the other is 1 1/2” x 12” x 13”. I originally made the long one as a gift but it hasn’t left our kitchen since it came in from the shop. So back to the shop I go. The cutting board seemed a little long that’s why the second one is shorter. They are finished with 3 coats of beeswax salad bowl finish, which is easily applied and we can give a small container along with it.

They really turned out great. I like the combination of the woods you used…

The short one is a gift, the other is for the house.
Thanks for the comments.

Nice work on the cutting boards. You will probably get many requests for more of them!

Those boards look great, man. I just glued up my first TWW board last night. I had a great time making it although I had to improvise a bit with resawing the 4/4 down to 1.5 but it works anyway. I’m sure glad that I have a planer now!

The contrast came out nice. I’ve never had alot of luck contrasting maple and cherry, but you did great.
