Hemlock for the box and Mahogany for the pyramid buttons. My first venture into stained glass yielded this glass panel for the top. Sam Maloof oil / wax finish.

I like the leaded glass component, very Frank Lloyd Wright. My next project has leaded glass doors, so I’m looking forward to giving it a try.

Great job.

Thanks Willie! Got some advice for your glass purchases. You will need some specialized tools and things, these people are the bomb for pricing.

https://www.stainedglasssuppliesonsale.com/

and then there’s http://www.Delphiglass.com/ for glass.

Everybody else will charge you twice compared to these two. Can’t wait to see your doors.

Nice work Jerry, I am sure you mother will love it.
What made you decide on the leaded glass, which is beautiful in its own right, instead of wood?

Very nice, haven’t seen to many pieces with leaded glass for the top, unique!
Also good info on stain glass supplies as I too have been thinking of venturing into it.

Nice little box Jerry. No doubt she’ll love it.

I’m just a bit surprised you didn’t figure out a way to light the panes from below. (Battery operated LED maybe?)

Thanks, my wife and I have decided to dip our toes into the stained glass arena. this was my first piece, it came out reasonably well, so I didn’t want to toss it. I thought it might make a nice top for a box, so I used it for that.
