Here is my humble attempt at a love spoon. One is birch the other is ash that has a line separating the heart wood and the sap wood (maybe it was starting to spalt?). I carve all my spoons with hand tools (knife, spoon knife, gouge,) I’m trying to get to the point where I don’t have to sand them, but I did sand these two. The love spoons I have looked at for research are little above my skill level but I’ll get there one day.
Thanks for looking I got a lot more spoon to share with you (there might even be a blue one).

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.
