This is an indoor double door dog kennel. I used poplar with 2×4 supports to attach the top and sides to the walls. I constructed the entire project using pocket holes and screws. The finish is polyurethane over cherry penetrating stain The dog door to the exterior of the house, is on the right hand wall. Material costs alone amounted to approximately $400.00 ( next project, I may find the trees and cut my own lumber! Lol )

Looks like a nice custom fit. Costs do add up!

Inspired idea! Functional, attractive, and a great use of corner space. (And I grow my own wood, not as easy as it sounds. LOL) Thanks for posting.

Thanks everyone. My client wanted 100% ventilation and pet invisibility (which changed according to client’s wishes). I used barrel bolts inside, top and bottom, which have proven to be slightly difficult to manipulate. I’m going to install a drop latch on the exterior of the doors, next week.
