The sister-inlaw’s dog is getting old and has been having trouble getting in to their bed so these steps were commissioned. My wife found the plans and I did the cutting. We went for a antique/distressed look to better match their bedroom. The plans are from: http://build-basic.com/build-diy-pet-steps/#.WFiWR_krJnI

It was finished with GF High Performance statin via HVLP. All the wood is big box store purchased – it was a quick fun project.

You “old dogs” might want to add a handrail so you don’t fall off… hehehe

Well, this is depressing…. I almost responded with… “I don’t need the handrail, I’m not even middle aged yet….. ”; Then i thought… hum, when does “Middle Age” start. google…... oh google…. oh…. crap, I am middle aged, I guess that handrail isn’t too far off.

Why do you think I thought that? These old bones are starting to crik and crack. I would need a handrail for myself.
Jokes aside, it is a nice thing to do for your dog. Great job!

Cause you said “you” twice as though you were speaking to me. You didn’t offend me, I actually enjoyed what I perceived as humor. Either way, Noah (The Sister in-law’s dog) will hopefully enjoy them. The dog in my profile pic (Abby) tuns four in Feb and still has way too much energy, and more importantly, I didn’t lose that battle, no dogs sleep in our bed; which is where this middle aged guy is heading – might as well embrace it.

Yeah, I should have read your opening comments better.
Glad you didn’t see it aimed at you and that it was only humor (at least trying to be humorous)
I lost the battle, and now wake up to a cat laying above my head. (I’m not really a cat person but what are you going to do, I digress)

Cool project love our puppies.

Here’s a cool project I built a bunch of times for my puppy and charity auctions.
