Fun project/gift for my 11-year old nephew who is into sailing. Measures approx 22×19x14. All QSWO. I used cut nails for the top from Tremont Nails (still manufactured in the USA a few miles from my house). Rusted hardware is from Van Dyke restorers. Found the skull and crossbone cutout on Etsy and inlaid/epoxied it in the front of the chest. The lock I picked up at an antique mall in Atlanta earlier this summer. Since it is deep I added rails and a sliding tray to store small items.

Beautiful treasure chest! I really like how the skull and crossbones looks against the oak. I’m sure your nephew is going to love it!
