Hi all,

This is just a 300×170 x 90mm desk box with a pivoting lid. The timbers are Red Gum and Wenge, the base is Red Gum also.
Finish is Scandinavian oil friction sealed to 4000g. Basically, I dry sand to 400g with either a Festool RO150 or ETS150/3, then wet sand from 400 up to 4000g using the ETS150/3. There is no further finish added as I want to see how the oil alone stands up to heavy traffic.

Regards,

Rob

Got to love Red Gum …. “I was only 19” ... “I’ve been to Bali too”.... oh… sorry the timber is nice too…

Very nice. You stuck with a clean, simple design and you are showing off the natural beauty of wood. That’s a style I really like. Those are beautiful pieces of wood.
