In Case Of Emergency Shadow Box

It dawned on me this past week that I hadn’t made my wife anything for Christmas and time was quickly running out. I had seen one of these with a small bottle of Jack Daniels in it and thought it was cool but since I made it to go the wall of her office…I thought that might be problematic…She is a elementary school principal…Lol. This was my compromise…Who doesn’t love a snickers bar??? All made out of pine scraps from the row boat bookcase build and a piece of 1/8th” plexiglass I had left over from a picture frame project a while back. It’s 8” tall x 5” wide x 3” thick. The front cover and plexiglass pop off just in case a actual emergency arrises and she needs to get to the chocolate in a hurry.
Well that’s it for me this year….Merry Christmas y’all!!!

That is a great idea.
Thanks for sharing.
Merry Christmas to you too.

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

If that had been made for me, the glass would have been broken already.
Merry Christmas Buster.

So did you use Lexan and glue the lid shut so you can’t get in with a hammer?

I would have to change that glass many times, I’m always in candy emergency.

I love it! I’d make one, but unfortunately I dont have enough wood to make one for my “Emergency Supply”

Yes, that’s me.
Yes, the candy bar is real.
And yes, I ate every bite of it!

Another fine job by BusterB! That’s a fine gift right there. If it was mine it would not be as fine, it would just be an empty box. Merry Christmas to you and your family.

That is a great idea – though it would take me forever to make one as I would keep eating the candy bar before I finished the box…

I like it, especially the king size bar for those really bad moments.
