This dresser took a long time to complete but it’s finally done. My wife wanted more drawer space in the spare bedroom and I promised her I would make a dresser over a year ago. I made it to fit in the window bay. Made from cherry plywood and solid cherry. Sealed with shellac and then I applied some red mahogany stain which gave it a nice light brown color. Sprayed 3 coats of water based polyurethane and then polished with paste wax. The drawer fronts are veneered with two type of sapelle veneers and some homemade black dyed 1/16” strips.

My favorite is the drawer face but it’s all perfect. No wonder it took so long,it looks like you took care with the build AND the beautiful finish!

Nice build. The veneer work really sets it apart.
