Another cedar chest. I personally didn’t like this one as well as some of the others

Why not? It’s gorgeous from where I sit. Tell us about the finish.

For finish, it has several coats of lacquer. This lumber did not mill as smoothly as other cedar I had used. So took a lot of finish to get a good smooth finish I could rub down. It’s wet in these pictures I think. The finish was gloss by request though.

I swear guys I’m keep being blown away by the good vibes on this website. People tell me sometimes that I don’t give myself enough credit. But I think I’m just always so paranoid that a customer is going to give me their money but not be genuinely happy with what they get. Part of every project I do, although for a living, is for my own satisfaction and enjoyment. I think sometimes I feel guilty for charging money so that I can play with some wood.
Uh….wait….
I meant that how I said it but maybe not how it gets taken.
Anyway, thank you all for giving me a boost of confidence with all the much appreciated compliments on my work.
I tell people all the time that I fly by the seat of my pants a lot. That’s so true. Your compliments are verification to me that I’m not crashing and burning at least.
Thanks again. So so much!
Very sincerely cs
