Made these poker tables from plans from Woodsmith # 158. These were Christmas gifts – one for my brother and one for my brother-in-law. This was my first major project and I was very happy with how they came out. First time I used MDF and first time I bought rough lumber and turned it into a piece of furniture. Sure learned a lot during this build. The table has an MDF frame and is trimmed out with red oak. I bought some veneer at Woodcraft to create the raised fields on the edges. Cup holders have hardboard bottoms and then cork inserts (not shown). I finished the tables with 2 coats of Arm-R-Seal. Love that finish.
P.S. The pedestals were ordered from Rockler. They don’t come with feet. You have to order those extra. Notice my fancy 2×6 temporary feet on the blue table – I couldn’t get the feet in time for Christmas! Live and learn!

Nice job! I think the veneer makes them look classy—especially the blue one!
