Stacked and epoxied walnut and brass, then turned it. After turning it, I made the stem and leaf out of thin brass. Present for my son’s teacher.

All the other teachers will be jealous – and next school year they will be fighting to teach your son. :)

When I was in high school/college I worked at a summer day camp. One year we had a particularly difficult child – not a bad kid just high spirited with ADHD, at the end of the summer his father gave us gifts in small hand made wooden boxes. I received a small pocket knife – that was over 30 years ago and I still have the box on my dresser holding the pocket knife and some cuff links and tie clips. This teacher will really appreciate this gift.

Merry Christmas.

Good afternoon Mr. Burnett, I am an Active Duty Sailor looking for a going away gift for my Senior Chief who will be transfering in under 30 days. He has been our leader teacher and guide and would like to present him with an apple for his going away present. since the apple is symbolic of an outstanding teacher I think the gift is more than fitting. I love what you’ve done with this project since it incorporates wood and brass which are the symbolic materials for the US Navy. If you can please join in on making this project happen, please contact me at Thank you!
