Thanks to ratchet for his jig he posted. I copied his expertise and will now pass them off as my own. I’m extremely excited about finally having this jig completed. This was my first time using T-track and toggle clamps. Bought the clamps and track (and an unseen incra miter jig) from woodpeck. And got the 129 piece jig set from Rockler while it was on sale for $50. It’s fun to think about the jig possibilities now that I have those items. I love everything about this jig EXCEPT that the toggle clamp arm does not reach the piece, so I keep some scrap blocks inside the carcase to use as clamping blocks. I don’t know any other way to keep the clamp moveable on the 3/4 ply AND reach the workpiece. Not really a big deal. I made the stops and edge guide out of 3/8 acrylic that I bought from ebay a year ago. I just like the look and feel of acrylic. It’s smooth, transparent to see the work better, and strong. And the last pic is my very first mortise (hopefully of many). I’m keeping it hung on my wall as a milestone, at least for another week anyway. Thanks again to ratchet for posting his jig.
