This model was previously posted by another LJ member which was full size. This model was made 1/2 size since a 36” model was way too big. The model was made from pine. The hull was made from a 2×4 and most of the other parts were made from scrap pine. The three main turrets rotate. The smaller anti-aircraft type turrets do not move. One of the problems of making it 1/2 size is the room needed to make the smaller turrets rotate no longer exists.
It was made for my great grandson. Natural finish using dewaxed shellac. Plans were in one of the woodworking magazines. Fairly easy build with the exception of the bow. Patience was needed to get the bow’s curve even.

That’s a fine looking battlewagon! I’m sure your great grandson will spend many happy hours with it!
