This is the first Ammo box (real box) I have ever built and I’m very proud of it for sure. I used African Sapele for the box itself, African Shedua for the strapping and Cedar for the bottom. I had to biscuit the top and bottom pieces to get the width I wanted. This project was a real challenge for me, how can a simple box be that big of a deal to build? Haha ya ok…......

That’s much to nice of a box for ammo storage. Beautiful wood and fantastic dovetails.

That is one nice ammo box. As for simple box yeah been there and done that. Never seems to amaze me how simple plan goes deep south in about 10 seconds…. LOL

Great looking dovetails. The ‘simpler’ anything is. the more obvious and glaring any little imperfection becomes. I don’t see any on this box so that’s saying something!

Wow, it’s so nice to hear all of your great comments. At my work, we always go in on a gift for the boss for Xmas and for some strange reason I opened my mouth and said “I could build an ammo box”? I was paid for the wood/supplies. I don’t think anyone there actually knows what something like that costs in the real world. But ya know it’s going to be so rewarding to see the boss man look that over. Raise? Lol..

Again thank you for the kind words.
