Lumber was brought by customer and was kinda rough. I flattened it best I could. And was just barely enough of it. And stain color was chosen by customer too. Not my favorite.

Still a very nice looking box.

We do what pays the bills or go hungry. On things like the the money is always right!

The box is really nicely made, and making each board stand out that way sets it apart from what one would expect for a toy box; it looks like furniture. I actually don’t mind the stain, as much as the Brock’s box plate on the front, but I don’t always get the interplay with formal and whimsy.

I didn’t like the Brock’s box on the front either. They were dead set on it though.

Just so the customer is happy so you get paid …...... that’s all that counts ….........some people will NEVER be happy….LOL
