I needed to have somewhere to put odds and end rather than my desk. So I built this little cabinet and it seems to be doing the trick. The main wood is Cherry, the stipe is Maple and Paduck (I think). The doors are made from Koa that we purchased in Kauai. I put 4 coats of Sutherland Wells Polyrmerized Tung Oil High Lustre uncut and I am not sure I like the High Lustre, I may put on a medium or low lustre coat on. I used a French Cleat to hang it and borrowed a Leigh Jig to do the dovetails.

I got the design idea from Jamie McDonald and his wall mounted TV console, so Thank You Jamie.

Thank you for looking and take care

Nice piece. I rather like the gloss finish here, but then you know best what you like. Super grain in the wood, and an eye catching design. Good build.

Nicely done, I really like the details on the ends and that is beautiful grain!
