Today I made a Ford sign using my CNC Router. I started out with a piece of White Pine wood, ripped it down to a specific length and width. Then clamped it to my CNC table.

Then I designed the pattern that you see with Vectric Aspire, I wanted a aged looking sign with some bullet holes. Well this is what I came up with, Unlike my Harley sign, I wanted the lettering to stand out Black. So I finished it with Minwax Ipswich Pine stain. After painting the lettering, I sprayed a couple coats of Clear finish on it.

Why I choose Black lettering, Henry Ford at the time once said ” Any customer can have a car painted any color that he wants so long as it is black”

Thanks for checking out my sign

I used the X-Carve CNC Router. Used a 90 degree V-bit, 40 inches @ minute, then used a 1/4” downcut router bit, to cut the piece out.

You’d think with the Bullet holes computer controlled… The CNC could shoot a more consistent grouping.

Very nice!
