I made these a couple of years ago but never posted them. I thought I would do it now in case anyone is looking for some inspiration. They are great to hang on a tree or to decorate packages.

I found tips for making these on the Wood Working for Mere Mortals YouTube channel. You basically cut strips with 60 degree angle, cut and rout grooves in the sides making sure that you do the same thing on adjacent sides and glue them together. Then, it is just a matter of cutting them off like slice and back cookies. I didn’t have a band saw at the time so I sliced them with my crosscut sled. Note that it works better if you cut the strips so that the end grain is not at the ends of the strips. Second picture is the jig to safely cut and route the grooves into the strips.

Merry Christmas!

That’s some tricky TS cutting. Thanks for sharing.
