Here’s the blog post about how I made it. http://lumberjocks.com/Duckarrowtypes/blog/13725
Basically you’re looking at a home-made MP3 player using natural horn amplification. In this project I discovered that I’m allergic to Marado (Bolivian Rosewood)! ACK! Consequently I finished the molding at the bottom using walnut instead.
I made all of the brass fixtures except for the rosette mounting the horn to the box. I had the horn plated professionally for a mirror brass finish.
Next I’m building an HDTV in the same style!

This is awesome. I’ve been wanting to make one of these for years. Slightly more inspiration now. Hopefully I will be able to make one soon.

This is a Beautiful piece of work and believe it or not I noticed the ”Old Style” type of feed wire in the photos above. That prompted me to go to your Blog and read ALL the Build information.

As a WEE bit of Trivia …..Has anyone here ever been told to ”Put A Sock In It!!” after someone was tired of listening to your ”Verbal Noise”? Well ….Great Gramma & Grammpa ”Coined” that phrase when one of their Chidren was playing the Gramaphone too LOUD (Sound Familiar, Today) it didn’t have a Volume Control. Care to guess where they had to ”PUT” the “SOCK IN IT” ???
I could also add ”HMV Records”, what HMV means and how it’s also connected here. BUT! I don’t want to use up any more space. .....HA! ...LOL..
