I bought this rocker for 3 bucks at an auction. It was pretty bad but I saw that the back was a burl and figured I’d fix it up. The rest of the rocker is soft maple.
I took it apart and cleaned up the joints and reglued them. I sanded it and replaced the cane and then sprayed it with precat.
I love finding this stuff that’s headed for the dumpster and giving it new life.
Problem is I have a fine collection of old chairs and 4 more rockers in various states of neglect that I have trash picked but haven’t fixed yet….......one day?

Good buy, great restore. I won’t tell my wife about this stuff, because then she will start going to garage sales looking for things for me to fix up…......(-:
