The chicken house was actually built before the goat house, my sister came up to my house from the island {LI} and said the chicken house looked like a condo ,, so the name stuck,,

I made it so the nesting boxes could be cleaned easy, by installing boxes that could be removed easily through the two fold down doors on the front of the house, there is also a entry door that I put on a pulley system that can be closed at night time, or when I wanted to keep them in the house,, a roosting bar was installed,a nd there is plenty of ventilation as well as windows, that open and lock if need be, it was a fun project to build,

so see I am more than birdhouses ??? hahaha sometimes I need to remind myself, thanks for looking,,hope you enjoy,, now to make more sawdust,

i was thinking more like a ’ chicken love boat ’ ,

dragging it around ,

while they are on vacation !

are they spoiled , or what !

This is another thing I should build…my little chickens are always killed and eaten by a couple of buzzards here…either to build a house like this or to buy new chickens of a stronger species, I must decide :-)

Fortunately, I keep my feathers numbered for just such an occasion.

thanks for the comments , I appreciate ,, and I think the chickens like, it,

I do well did have the same problems with teh hawks getting my feathered friends,, they are fine as long as I leave them in the pen area, thats got a covering over the whole area, but we let them roam free in the summer, but its part of it,,,

the chickens most of the time go back to the coop to lay there eggs, but sometimes I am greeted by a chicken being followed by a surprise of yellow chicks following her,,, from laying in the haybarn,,, or I find a not so pleasing surprise of a whole lot of eggs that was layed in the hay mow in the middle of winter from teh summer ,, not good if you dont see them first,,, I am actually out of chickens now,, darn hawks,,, but am planning on starting a new clutch this spring,, I mis my fresh brown eggs, again thanks for the comments,
