The Doll House

I built this doll house for my wife and daughter, it was a plan offered by the Elmers Glue Company in the early 80’s.
It took 15 years from start to finish, (one of those projects you start and then COMPLETELY loose all intrest in).

When we moved into our new house I almost took it to the dump, but the truck was full.
Our new house has a heated basement so I figured I would give it one more go.
Six months later it was finally done and was really a lot of fun once I gave the project my full attention.

By then my daughter was almost grown so the wife decorated the interior.
Except for the front door and furniture, everything else—siding, shingles, bay window ect is scratch built.

Now I’m starting on a victorian doll house, this one will have a spiral stair case and electric.
I hope it only takes 14 years to finish this one.

Very impressive looking doll house. You and your wife did a beautiful job on this. The next one can be for the grand kids. Thanks for posting.

God Bless

Yeah, it really is amazing…I wish the details on my house were that pronounced. I love it…I will build one for a daughter of mine someday.
