knocks down without tools, top is 3/4 baltic birch, rails are fir and legs are fir, 5 coats of poly. Kind of made it in the shaker style.

A friend just showed me a bed made with this joinery today, and I commented that it was the first time I’d seen it. Funny that you posted this today too :)

heh, that is funny, I learned this type from my grandfather, he used to call it “Bear proof pig pen” joints lol, no idea where he got that from.

*on edit, I figured out why he called em that, because these are similar to the joints used in building a bear-proof pigpen. lol guess that makes sense.
