Got the idea from seeing another piece like this on facebook. Gave it a try. It’s inlayed Birdseye Maple in Black Walnut. Finished with a salad bowl finish.

Although the motive is not new, I always like to see it made the way you made it. Beautiful contrasting woods and this mouse looks very nice shaped.

Did you use a cnc for the inlay?

Pretty cool and well done! However I think my wife would gross out with the mouse inlay… :)

No, I don’t have a CNC, cut the mouse out using the scroll saw at a 3 degree angle so it would slip into the walnut.
