I carved these reindeer from cypress (right) and Mahogany (left) that were generously supplied by a local door manufacturer they are both finished with spray on clear coat. The initial cuts were made on the band saw and scroll saw, and after about another hour of shaping on the dremel sander they were finished.

Nice project. I had this project on my mind, but I soppose hardwood would be better solution than pine (I intended to use) due cracks.
