My wife’s Grandmother moved into a new assisted living facility and her previous kitchen table was too large for the new apartment, so I threw this together so she would have someplace to enjoy her meals should she choose not to go to the dinning hall. It’s constructed of solid cherry that was milled from my parents farm. The top has a 30 inch diameter and sits 28 inches off the floor on a hexagonal pedestal and three legs/feet. The top is attached to three supports by screws in over sized holes to allow for seasonal movement. The finish is Watco Natural Danish oil followed by three coats of gloss poly. The table fits the space perfectly and has enough room for two chairs. Thanks for looking, any comments, questions, or critiques always welcome.

Very nice! I’m sure she will love it.

-- Chris - Would work, but I'm too busy reading about woodwork.
