This is a coffee table that I built a couple years ago. Eventually, I would like to carve some type of wildlife scene (I am a beginner woodcarver, at best), but for now, my wife uses it to display her curios.

Wow I’m thinking to realize one too. Excuse me the display case is a drawer or the top it’s connected with hinge to to the structure of the table?

Thanks

I assume you used tempered glass. Like haltman, I am interested in how you open it to change the display. Seems with hinges the top would be real heavy for that large of a glass. Does the one side drop down?

Steve.

Yes, I did use tempered glass. It still makes me nervous every time my 7 year old drops the remote on it, but so far, no problems. No drawer…the top is connected using hinges and is not too heavy to lift up. My wife does not have any problems opening it and swapping out her pieces.

I uploaded a few new pictures to show the hinges, latch and how it opens.
