A little ring box for my wife. Made from pine, popular and poly. Plus a little stain and green felt. Measures 3 1/2 X 3 1/2 X 2 inches. Thanks for looking.

I am guessing the sides are stained poplar? Very good job!

Nice little box. Did you use a bandsaw to cut out the pieces?

yes, I cut this out on a band saw.

I really like this! Very nice, pleasing design. My first real love with woodworking started when I got a cheap 10’’ benchtop bandsaw and started making toy cars and boxes. I made a similar style of box and my family still has a few setting around.Very nicely done!

Great bandsaw box! I love the variety of different boxes that can be made this way….and it is an excellent way to improve skills without having to use large amounts of expensive wood. These boxes always make great gifts….and I can’t tell you how many of them I have around the house and shop that I use for storing and organizing. Welcome to LJ’s….this is a great place to get inspiration, tips and to learn different techniques…If you enjoy working wood…you are in the right place.
