Delivery Truck

I made this truck some time ago. When times are good my son’s and I build custom Log Homes. Actually they do most of the work and I run materials and get in the way. Lowe’s is a big supplier for us and I know everyone there quite well. The guys & gals in Commercial Sales asked me to build them a Lowe’s delivery truck. It is my cab design in 12:1 scale. Detailed engine, interior, & undercarriage. Lift gate and opening rear doors. Pallet jack and appliance cart. The sign is from a display logo applied to a backing. This is attached [removeable] with 4/40 bolts to the side. The only metal in the truck. Lowe’s policy is nothing in the store unless it is through an approved vendor. The manager allowed it to be displayed on a shelf they built behind the counter. Even passed a district managers eye during a store inspection. I have since brought it home after someone dropped it one night shift. It now sits on one of my display shelves with some of my other trucks, tractors, etc. Red cedar, sand-n-seal, sprayed polyurethane.

Nice 24 ft. box van. i am a lowes delivery, and freight flow manager and that was a cool thing you did for that store. I hated to hear of the drop though. I thank you for being a great customer and fellow wood worker.
