I was asked if I could build a 12ft table out of Walnut. I jumped at the chance. I ran out and tried to buy some 13 ft walnut boards. It took some time to find these boards but I finally did. I was so excited to find the boards. I said I would take them in the rough. I put them in the back of my truck and drove home. I then realized that I didn’t have enough room in my shop to use any of my power tools and the table would have to be done by hand. Well I survived and here is the final project. By the way it was hard to get the table out those double doors that you see in the picture.

That grain really pops. What finish did you use on that?

Fantastic table!
Please tell us more about it.
Finish? How is the top attached?
What joinery did you use on the base?
Who was it for and how much did it cost them?
