My mother likes to wash and re-use her plastic bags of all sorts, and the frugality wore off on me and my wife. When she came to visit, and saw our bag drying rack, and she wanted one for Christmas. So, I helped my daughter make this for her grandma. Its a very simple project, made from a cherry board on the bottom (that’s the choice of my daughter) and some plain poplar dowels and wood balls you can get from the hobby store. She drilled the holes, cut the dowels, glued them in, and did the varnishing. I did help with planing the board and touching up the varnish a bit. It was a fun project, and I’m sure her grandma will be tickled.

That’s a great project for your young work crew. I bet Grandma will treasure it. Delightful photos.

oh my gosh! This melted my heart. LOVE the photos of your kiddos getting to work! I can’t count the joyful memories I have of learning from my dad in the garage. They’ll remember this forever, I guarantee it!

Yep very cool to have time with the Kids in the shop and you bet your Last Dollar that Grandma is going to Love this.
Wish my Grand Kids were closer to me so I could work with them , they seem to really like helping out when I visit and do stuff for my Daughter.

Have your say...
