This is my first posting, My friend and I have sent the afternoon in the garage turning some wood from the woodpile.
The first two pics are from scraps from abandoned bracelet projects. The top is spalted oak, walnut neck and a cedar base. The edges were too thin to hold the knot, so it was punched out. The rest are from spalted oak limbs. We had no idea about the spalting, but it was a great surprise. All are finished with tung oil or danish oil.

Looks like you had fun, and that’s what it’s all about, very pretty spalting, make sure you wear a mask around the spalted wood, it can make you sick. It did me once, I’m allergic to it now, and can’t be around it without a resperator.

Great group of turnings. Lots of fun here.

Keep it up.

Hey buddy. I joined to post my wine stoppers. You need to post your table these bowls are sitting on!

Great job…nothing better then the “yern to turn.” be careful though it can be seriously addicting….Turning is indeed the crack of woodworking…LOL
