Iridescent: “Showing luminous colors that seem to change when seen from different angles.”

This maple platter is 10” in diameter, and was inspired by projects posted on YouTube by Tim Yoder ( https://youtu.be/XOyG2vyBnk4 ) and Gary Lowe ( https://youtu.be/_tMdQ3p5dqs ).

I turned the platter and used a gloss black spray paint to ‘ebonize’ it. Working with the iridescent paint is a blast!

Wow! Gerry, this is an outstanding piece. It is such an eye catcher.

That paint is AWESOME!

Do you have pics of it BEFORE using the Special Paint… so we can see the difference it makes?

Looks like it’s simply off the shelf! ... I like Rustoleoum products.

COOL… SUPER COOL….

The 2nd and 3rd pix are of the platter before the paint went on. The iridescent paint is an off-white (regardless of the color) until it goes on a black surface.
