Deep sea reel lamp

Went back and forth between a lamp and a set of bookends until the last minute. Then ‘lamp’ won. I can use a lamp just about anywhere but bookends are limited. Even though I’ve got a collection of Cussler novels that would do them proud. I put the decals on this morning and it just looked a little ‘naked’ yet. So.. I added line from the old reel to the wood reel and the empty line spool. Then made a copy of a 1929 fishing license and added that too. The only regret was the Fenwick decal doesn’t show up as well on the rod handle like I would have liked. Maybe the next one. Nope.. I’m done. One of a kind again from me.

So creative. Love it. Do you have a picture of the entire lamp the shade and all?

WOW!!!

-- Bob, Western Australia, The Sun came up this morning, what a great start to the day. Now it's up to me to make it even better. I've cut this piece of wood 4 times and it's still too damn short.

Sure do. Took one to add to my book of projects from the past 35+ years.

Sits on the little bedside table I just finished about a month ago (along with the new headboard).
