Made a wine holder for a friend who had already gotten a similar cutting board. With only 6 months until retirement I am getting as much practice in as possible. This is the nicest wine holder so far.

Wonderful job, I really like it.

Why are you worried about and emphasis on “until six months experience.”??

Celebrate and enjoy your time woodworking.

You will continue to improve even after retirement.

Best,
Peter

I guess that i am a controlled perfectionist and have to keep reminding myself that perfection is something to strive for but probably never attain. Thanks, i have the most fun seeing it in my mind and making it real.

Way to go Russ.
And congratulations on your retirement.
I bet you’ll have a ball being able to spend more time on your hobby.

nice piece. You’ll enjoy retirement after you get used to the fact that you don’t have to be anywhere at a certain time! ;0)
