A birthday party is coming up with a “Harry otter” theme.

I was asked to make appropriate sign boards for the party.

They are just cedar fence board scraps. About 3-1/2 by 10- to -12 inches. All were sanded then the lettering ws just drawn on the boards and then burned with a pencil type wood burners. I used 3 points Small pointed, medium wedge, and the duckfoot.

As woodburners know keep the point clean is a very important factor.
Then a torching effect was also added. The lettering is strictly free-handed.

Cool. They will have so much fun. I wish now I was woodworking when my girls were little. The things I could have made for them. Good for you that you can. :)

Great job on the signs. The torching effect is perfect. Good thinking. Funny, I’m using some scrap cedar fence boards on a project now.

Really nice job on the lettering; each signe that has the extra items (bats, broom, dots, etc.) really adds to the overall aesthetic appeal. doing lots of lettering like that is not on time consuming, but can be taxing on the patience, but yours turned out great!

Oh, “Harry Potter” theme. LOL!! I was wondering what the signs would look like for a “Harry Otter” theme. LOL!!

Signs are required for those first year students at Hogwarts – especially with those moving staircases. :)
Great job, Hope the party is a success.
